1. Client Brainstorm / Needs Assessment
Joint workshop to define objectives, product mix, market targets, and constraints.
2. Market Feasibility & Business Case Preparation
Demand analysis, raw material availability, competitor mapping, pricing model, and ROI forecast.
3. Define Plant Capacity & Phasing
Decide initial phase capacity and roadmap for future expansions (Phase 1, Phase 2…).
4. Process Selection & Product Definition
Select processes (injection, extrusion, blown film, rotational molding) and finalize product specifications and tolerances.
5. Preliminary Machinery List & Technical Specs
Define types, output rates, specifications, automation level, and energy requirements for each major piece of equipment.
6. Factory Layout Proposal
Draft initial plant layout (material flow, machine placement, utilities routing) and iterate until final layout approved.
7. Utilities & Services Planning
Prepare water, drainage, electrical power distribution, compressed air, HVAC, effluent handling, and safety systems — with future expansion provision.
8. Bill of Materials & Ancillary Equipment Specification
Complete list of machines, ancillaries, tooling, conveyors, control systems, and packaging equipment.
9. Supplier Identification & RFQ Preparation
Prepare request-for-quotes, technical schedule, and criteria for selecting machinery and service providers.
10. Supplier Shortlisting & Evaluation
Technical evaluation, factory visits or virtual audits, performance references, and compliance checks.
11. Quotation Comparison & Commercial Negotiation
Comparative analysis (TCO), lead-time evaluation, negotiation of commercial terms, warranty and service agreements.
12. Final Machine Purchases & Contracting
Issue purchase orders, secure delivery schedules, arrange bank guarantees if required.
13. Pre-shipment Inspection & FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
—Inspect machines at supplier facility or via third-party inspector; run trials where applicable; approve FAT.
14. Site Construction Supervision & Utilities Commissioning
Monitor civil works, utilities installation, building readiness, and ensure alignment with equipment footprints.
15. Installation, Mechanical & Electrical Hook-up
Supervise machine erection, electrical connections, PLC/controller integration, safety interlocks, and grounding.
16. Pre-commissioning & Dry Runs
Static and dynamic checks, alignment, lubrication, PLC mapping, control parameter settings.
17. Commissioning, Trial Runs & Optimization
Live production trials with raw materials; tune process parameters; achieve agreed performance metrics (output, cycle times, quality).
18. Training, SOPs & Handover
Train operators & maintenance staff; provide maintenance schedules, spare parts list, and operational SOP documents.
19. Post-Commissioning Support & Performance Tracking
After-sales support, performance audits at regular intervals, optimization projects, and continued spare parts supply.
